Who qualifies
A real residency, verified once.
Patevo is deliberately exclusive. That's the promise to our partners — that every cardholder is a genuine long-term resident, not a tourist chasing a discount.
Primary proof — any one of:
- Active Thai bank account (implies Non-B, Non-O, Non-OA/OX, LTR, Elite/Privilege, Non-ED)
- Current non-tourist visa or extension stamp in passport
- Long-term residence certificate from Samui immigration
Accepted — with a second-step check:
- DTV holders with a 180-day entry stamp (digital nomad, long-stay)
- Thai work permit holders without bank account (rare)
Not eligible:
- Tourist visa / visa exemption entries
- Short-stay DTV entries under 180 days

Isn't this just another discount app?
No. Discount apps chase tourists with theatrical 50%-off claims that partners can't sustain. Patevo is the opposite — a fixed members' discount, committed in writing by every partner, sitting honestly between Thai-local and walk-in. It's designed to be fair to both sides, which is why it lasts.
How much will I actually save?
Members typically recover the annual fee in the first four to six weeks. Savings vary by how you live — a family eating out twice a week and renting scooters annually will save several times more than a casual user. We publish typical members' vs. walk-in prices transparently on the partner page.
What happens if a partner refuses my card?
Tell us. We remove them. Partners sign a fixed-discount commitment; if a staff member doesn't know how to apply it, we step in and re-train them within 24 hours. Repeat failures mean removal from the network.
How is my verification data protected?
We're PDPA-compliant and ETDA-notified. Your visa image and bank statement are used to verify, then encrypted and stored separately from any data shared with partners. Partners only see your name, member ID and status — never your documents.
I'm on a DTV — am I in or out?
In, if you have a 180-day entry stamp showing real long-stay intent. We made the call early: DTV holders who actually live here are part of the community we're building, and excluding them would be silly. Short-stay DTV entries don't qualify.
Do you plan to expand beyond Samui?
Eventually — Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin. But only after we've built the best possible version on one island. Expanding early is how these platforms die. Our founding Samui members will get free access to the first new location we open.
Who's behind Patevo?
Long-term Samui residents who got tired of the same conversation at every new spot. Operated under a Thai entity with BOI-track application (digital platform activity 8.1.1). Led in Samui, not outsourced from abroad.
